OUR MINISTRY COUPLE
Brett was born to a nerdy family in upstate NY. He was raised to love books, words and music, and he studied literature and music at Boston University. Originally destined for a career in music, he found another Book he loved, and a lifelong attachment with God and His word. His Boston obsession includes a love for all creatures of the sea (served with drawn butter), the Red Sox, and the Boston Pops. He has been a minister for sixteen years and is crazy about his southern gal, Genie and his English Bulldog, Meghan (and did we say, the Red Sox?)
Genie is a North Carolina native, but a California beach girl by choice. She's a dancer in her heart, a lover of surf and sand and of course, Carolina BBQ. Genie loves to play and to pray and has a passion for helping young women find their faith in God and build excitement and devotion in their married lives. She has a weakness for a live band, a snorkeling adventure, and a hunt for sea shells on any beach anywhere. Genie is equally at home in the country as she is in the vineyards. Her other great "heartbeat" is an obsession with rescued English Bulldogs. She has been in ministry with her husband for sixteen years.
